Description

These little gems that are encased in a papery husk have originated in Brazil, spreading to other areas of South America. The ground cherry is in fact an excellent source of Vitamins A, C, and B-3. It is also a good source of Vitamins B-1, not to mention that it offers Vitamin B-2 and the minerals iron, calcium, and phosphorus. Besides, due to the orange-golden color from phytochemicals called carotenoids, the ground cherry has many anti-inflammatory and immune boosting properties and can help protect against the risk of heart disease and poor eye, skin, and bone health.
