Most likely native to Iran, peppercress has slender fern-like leaves and tender lime green stems. Brightly flavored with a bit of kick, it is also an excellent source of vitamin A, C, iron, and potassium. Some claim that peppercress also has detoxifying properties and can stir up your appetite when you're not feeling great. When young, these leaves are best used raw in salads, especially when mixed with mild butter lettuce or hearts of romaine.
