Description

Native to tropical and subtropical regions of South Asia, Drumstick leaves are highly nutritious and are widely used in traditional medicines because of their anti-inflammatory and tissue protecting properties. Besides, these leaves are small in size and oval to tear-drop shaped, not to mention that they offer a slightly bitter flavor with grass-like undertones. Nutrition-wise, they are an excellent source of beta-carotene, calcium, protein, vitamins C, B6, A, and E, potassium, and amino acids. If you want to put these amazing leaves to use, you can use them like spinach by incorporating them into curries, stews, chutneys, and clear broth-based soups.
