Description

As you may have already guessed, this orange was first discovered in Valencia, Spain, thus giving it its name. Believed to be a descendant of the sweet oranges of China, the Valencia Orange is the ultimate juicing orange, bursting with sweet citrus flavor and has a somewhat smooth, fragrant rind that is easy to peel. This orange is excellent not only for its juice, but for eating fresh out of hand as well. You may want to know that the 3 grams of dietary fiber found in Valencia Oranges have been shown to lower cholesterol levels in at-risk patients by promoting healthy bowel movements. There is also convincing evidence that high-fiber diets help reduce the risk of certain kinds of cancer, especially colon cancer.
