Bambinella pears are native to the Mediterranean island of Malta and have been cultivated there for over one thousand years. These pears are actually very small in size, and are round in shape, similar to cherries with a thick, brown stem. Besides, their flesh is crunchy and very juicy, with an intense, extremely sweet flavor. As a matter of fact, the fiber content in pears prevents constipation and promotes regularity for a healthy digestive tract. In addition, these fruits contain high levels of antioxidants, including vitamin C and K, and copper, all of which mop up free radicals, protecting our cells from the damage they can cause.
