Originated in Northern India, Dasheri mangoes are long and oval shaped, with a light green or yellow-green skin when mature, which becomes golden yellow when ripe. As a matter of fact, these special mangoes have a very sweet, aromatic, peach-colored flesh with a medium-sized stone. Besides, they are high in vitamin C and fiber, not to mention that they naturally contain enzymes beneficial for digestion as well as many other valuable vitamins and minerals. In addition, Dasheri mangoes are most often eaten fresh, out of hand, although they can also be added to fruit salads or smoothies.
