Developed in the 1950's in Los Angeles, the Villasenor mangoes are small oval fruits just barely bigger than golf balls. In addition, they have a smooth texture and a mild floral, tropical flavor, making them a delicious addition in green salads and tropical salsas. Mangoes are actually high in vitamins C, A and B6, and are also a good source of fiber and folate. Besides, they contain enzymes beneficial for digestion.
