Grown in Taiwan, Yanchao guavas are rather large, and have a bright, lime green skin, with a glossy sheen and a rough, bumpy surface. They also have an off-white flesh that is crisp with a fine texture. As a matter of fact, Yanchao guavas are said to have a “special” aftertaste that is described as sweet and tropical. Besides, they are rich in vitamins A and C, as well as minerals like iron, calcium, phosphorus, protein and antioxidants, which in turn can prevent or slow damage to cells caused by free radicals.
