White bread has been enjoyed for thousands of years, and has always been a ubiquitous staple on our tables. This bread is made from refined wheat flour from which the bran and the germ layers have been removed, producing light-colored flour. However, this bread provides the body with a quick surge of energy thanks to its highly-processed, simple carbohydrate.
