The Daisy tangerines, or Daisy mandarins as they are sometimes known, are a hybrid between Fortune and Fremont citrus varieties. They are medium-large in size with an easy-to-peel rind that hides a dark orange, juicy flesh. In addition, Daisy tangerines have a particularly flavorful, rich, sweet, and tangy taste. Besides, they are high in Vitamin C and dietary fiber, not to mention that they also contain potassium, folic acid, and thiamine, making them a mighty healthy choice. A recent study even found that a particular compound in tangerine peel fights an enzyme related to cancer cell growth.
