Named for the grower who introduced it commercially in 1892, the Duncan grapefruit is a white-fleshed variety with lots of seeds. Besides, it is smooth with medium-thick, pale yellow rind, and a spherical or slightly flattened shape. In addition, this fruit is juicy and particularly flavorful, with an excellent balance of sweetness and tartness. It is worth noting that regularly consuming grapefruit is thought to improve heart health by reducing risk factors for heart disease, such as high blood pressure and cholesterol.
