Description

“Oro Blanco”, which means "white gold" in Spanish, is the name given to this grapefruit which was originally developed at the University of Riverside in 1958 and released upon receipt of its patent in 1981. Though this variety may display a green rind during its early stages of ripening, it is just as deliciously sweet as when its peel turns yellow. Grapefruit is indeed a weight loss friendly food, considering it has several properties linked to weight loss, especially its fiber content, which helps promote fullness and reduce calorie intake .
