Cabbage, regardless of its varieties, has been a staple in European cuisine since ancient times. And compared to common cabbages, Conehead cabbages differentiate themselves through their shape, texture and flavor, considering they are, well, cone-shaped. In addition, their flavor is mild and remarkably sweet, void of that bold cruciferous flavor that is most reminiscent of cabbage. Conehead cabbages are also an excellent source of antioxidants and vitamin C. What’s more, they are rich in soluble fiber, which has been shown to increase the number of beneficial bacteria in the gut.
