Description

Believed to have originated from England and Holland, Savoy cabbages are distinguished by their heavily textured, crinkled leaves that range in color from dark green to light green. These leaves are actually crunchy, succulent and tender with a flavor that is mild, grassy and sweet with slight cruciferous undertones. Besides, all cabbages are packed with Vitamin C which is a water-soluble vitamin that serves many important roles in the body. For one, it is a powerful antioxidant that has been extensively researched for its potential cancer-fighting qualities.
