This old, German kale variety in indeed very tasty! Lark’s Tongue is a cultivar from the 1800's, and has slender, elongated, slightly ruffled leaves. Kale is actually one of the world's best sources of vitamin K, with a single raw cup containing almost 7 times the recommended daily amount. And do you know what this Vitamin is good for? Yep, it helps prevent heart disease and osteoporosis. In addition, kale lends itself to braising, grilling, frying, baking, juicing or salt tenderizing, not to mention that it is also good served raw.
