Description

The Cauliflower mushrooms have an appearance that resembles a coral reef, though their name suggests they look like a head of cauliflower. Their surface and flesh color are both ivory white to pale cream, not to mention that their texture is crunchy and firm. Besides, the flavor of Cauliflower mushrooms is mild with notes of fennel and almond. Nutrition-wise, these mushrooms contain a constituent called sparassol, which is an anti-fungal and antibiotic. Besides, all edible mushrooms contain two types of dietary fibers, beta-glucans and chitin, which increase satiety and reduce appetite. In addition, Cauliflower mushrooms are actually great in soups, not to mention that they are best suited for cooked applications such as boiling and sautéing.
