Description

The Ascolano olive is an Italian cultivar that is elliptically shaped, long, rounded at the apex, and has a truncated base. Even though this variety does not yield as much oil as other olive fruits, it is still delicious when drizzled over simple pasta with freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano and cracked black pepper. It is worth noting that Oleic acid, the main fatty acid in olives, is associated with improved heart health. Besides, olives are rich in antioxidants, with health benefits ranging from fighting inflammation to reducing microorganism growth
