Mostly grown in Catalonia, Spain, the Arbequina olive fruit is highly aromatic, small, symmetrical and dark brown, with a rounded apex and a broad peduncular cavity. As for the oil extracted from these olives, it is clean, fresh, and herbal with notes of apple, sweet almond, and artichoke undertones. As a matter of fact, olives are an unusual fruit because of their high fat content. Their most abundant fat is oleic acid, which is linked to several health benefits, including decreased inflammation and a reduced risk of heart disease.
