Description

White carrots were believed to be first domesticated in the Mediterranean region in the 8th century. Their ivory white color is directly correlated with their sweet, mild carrot flavor. Besides, Baby White carrots have a crisp texture which lacks any overt succulence, regardless of the root's high water content. Even though they lack the pigment found in other carrot varieties, giving them a lower nutritional value, these carrots do contain health-promoting phytochemicals: natural bioactive compounds that work with nutrients and dietary fibre to protect against disease.
