Description

These mixed bouquets of radishes date back to the vegetable markets of France as early as the 1800’s, where growers would bundle together whatever colors they had available at the time and sell as an aesthetically pleasing radish mix. Nutritionally, these radishes offer a significant amount of vitamin C in both the root of the radish and the leafy greens. Since radishes are detoxifiers, they have been linked with having a protective effect against some type of cancers, particularly colon, kidney, intestinal, stomach, and oral cancer. As for Mardi Gras radish, it is most commonly used in its raw, uncooked form, though it can also be used in cooked applications.
