Description

Icicle type radishes are believed to have first been grown in physic gardens in the 1600’s where they were studied for their medicinal applications. They are typically about 10 to 15 cm in length and have a pure white flesh that is less piquant than the common red radish. In addition, Iciciles contain vitamins C and B6, ascorbic acid and calcium. They also contain active enzymes that help with digestion issues. In fact, their edible leaves are also rich in vitamin C, beta carotene, calcium and iron. Diced, sliced or slivered, raw Icicle radishes add crispy texture to salads and relishes. You can try'em out and see for yourself!
