Released in Netherlands in 1926, Giant Noble spinach boasts giant, dark green and lightly savoyed leaves. Despite its large leaf size, its stems are sugar-sweet, thin and completely edible. In addition, this spinach is a very tender and succulent variety with a thick pillowy texture. Nutrition-wise, Giant Noble spinach is an excellent source of calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, vitamins A, C and B6. Spinach in general also contains an antioxidant known as alpha-lipoic acid, which has been shown to lower glucose levels, increase insulin sensitivity, and prevent oxidative, stress-induced changes in patients with diabetes. Besides, Giant Noble is incredibly versatile and can be eaten fresh or cooked.
