Description

Flamingo spinach is a newer hybrid variety that was likely developed around 2010. Bunches of this spinach can in fact reach up to 30 centimeters in height. Plus, the uniform leaves have an overall arrowhead shape with three deep serrations near the base of the leaf. Flamingo spinach does indeed have a good flavor with a crunchy texture, and it can be used in any application that calls for a spinach variety. Besides, like other arrowhead varieties, this one contains small amounts of vitamin C and several of the B-complex vitamins including high amounts of B6, thiamin (B1), and niacin (B3). In addition, spinach in general has large quantities of vitamin A, which moderates the production of oil in the skin pores and hair follicles to moisturize the skin and hair. It is this oil that can actually build up to cause acne.
