Description

The Charentais originated in the 1920's in the Poitou-Charentes region of western France. This melon is a petite-sized fruit with a smooth, hard, pistachio-grey colored skin and a succulent, dense and tropically-aromatic flesh. In addition, the Charentais melon is a good source of beta-carotene, folic acid, potassium and dietary fiber. It also contains high amounts of Vitamin C, which helps to combat cancer effectively and to neutralize free radicals in our bodies.
