The Hami-Gua melon was first cultivated in northwest China. It is actually a very large melon and has a golden yellow, lightly netted skin and a crisp, yet juicy flesh. These melons, like all other melons, are rich in vitamins A, B and C. They also contain plenty of vitamin B complex along with vitamins E and K. If you want to enjoy the Hami-Gua melon, you can simply eat it fresh, although in China, this variety is popularly baked into mooncakes.
