Description

Donut nectarines are descendants of flat peach varieties, which are native to China and have been cultivated since 200 B.C. This variety is distinguished by its fuzz-free skin and its sub acid, high sugar content. As for its shape, it is roughly rounded and squat with a sunken center at its stem end. Besides, the flavor of this nectarine has a rich syrup-like sweetness, unmatched by other white nectarine and peach varieties. Despite their sweetness, Donut nectarines are actually low in calories and are considered a good source of fiber, vitamins C & A, potassium and phytochemicals. As a matter of fact, the beta-carotene and vitamin C in all nectarines are powerful antioxidants that strengthen immunity and can prevent the onset of lethal diseases
