Bred in the late 20th century, Mango nectarines were given this name simply for their striking golden yellow color and tropical aroma and flavor. Besides, these nectarines are very small and mature to a bright, golden yellow. In addition, they are very aromatic, with scents of tropical fruit and flowers. As for the fruit’s flesh, it is soft and juicy with a smooth texture and a flavor that lives up to its moniker: sweet and tropical, reminiscent of mango with a tart finish. Nutritionally, this variety is a good source of vitamin C and B-complex vitamins, including niacin. It is also a source of antioxidant vitamins A and E, as well as essential electrolytes and minerals, like copper and potassium, which in turn helps build muscle, supports growth, and improves the functioning of the nerve cells.
