Description

Native to the Okinawa archipelago on the Ryukyu islands, Shikwasa limes are very small, and have a round, oblate shape similar in size to a key lime. Besides, their flesh is dense, semi-juicy, divided into 10-12 orange segments that are extremely sour and tart with an acidic, slightly sweet taste. Rich in vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin C, Vitamin B1, and Vitamin E Alpha Tocopherol, Shikwasa lime juice can activate metabolism and help people recover from fatigue. This variety also contains a compound called nobiletin, which is a citrus flavonoid that can help prevent lifestyle-related diseases, such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
