Said to be native to Mexico, Lammertz White Sapote is a green fruit with a slightly asymmetrical shape and an edible flesh that can somewhat taste bitter when overly ripe. However, when good and ripe, the flesh of this fruit has a soft, custard-like consistency and offers a sweet flavor with hints of banana, vanilla, and peach. Furthermore, this variety is rich in carbohydrates and is also considered a good source of vitamin C and potassium. In addition, Lammertz White Sapote contains vitamin A, calcium, B-complex vitamins, and the pigment carotene, which in turn can decrease asthma symptoms caused by exercise and prevent certain cancers
