Originated in Hawaii, Groff lychee is a small, heart-shaped fruit with a tough leathery skin whose color changes from pink-red to dark red when ripe. As for the flesh, it is slightly chewy, acid when immature, sweet when ripe. It is worth noting that these lychees are a good source of Vitamin C which helps the human body develop resistance against infectious agents and scavenge harmful, pro-inflammatory free radicals.
