Description

Knucklehead pumpkins are one of those eccentric-looking, warty pumpkins that have become a new trend in the marketplace since the early 2000's. These catchy pumpkins are small to medium in size and weigh no more than 9 kg. Now, what sets these pumpkins apart is - obviously - their rind which matures from dark green to bright orange, and is covered in warts, scabs, or bumps. Besides, Knucklehead pumpkins have a dense flesh that is very sweet. When it comes to their vitamins and all, these pumpkins contain magnesium, vitamin A, potassium and beta-carotene which in turn protects our cells against damage by free radicals. As far as cooking is concerned, the best way to use Knucklehead pumpkins is in cooked applications such as baking, roasting, or boiling.
