Snake gourd is actually one of the oldest domesticated crops in India. This vegetable ranges from small to very large in size and is elongated, slender, curved, or straight. Besides, it is typically consumed when young - that is when its length doesn't exceed 20 cm. When it comes to their nutritional benefits, Snake gourds contain iron, magnesium, potassium, manganese, vitamins A, B, and C, fiber, calcium, and phosphorus. In fact, several different gourds contain high levels of minerals responsible for managing blood circulation, such as copper and iron. Their high levels of iron, for instance, can prevent anemia since iron is responsible for the production of red blood cells. Now, if you want to use Snake gourds, use them in cooked applications such as stir-frying, baking, stuffing, and boiling.
