Native to the cooler regions of the Northwestern Hemisphere, Pink turnips have both edible roots and greens. As for the roots, they are globular, and their skin boasts a magenta pink color while the flesh is variegated with bleeds of translucent white and pink colors, similar to that of a radish. As a matter of fact, Baby Pink turnips have a noticeably milder flavor with balanced sweetness and subtle notes of pepper. In addition, their flesh is tender compared to common larger varieties, and offers a crunchy succulent texture. In general, a diet rich in all fruits and vegetables, such as turnips, has been shown to lower blood pressure. Turnips also have potassium, which is thought to help decrease blood pressure by releasing sodium out of the body and helping arteries dilate.
