Sold under the brand name “Jevtana”, Cabazitaxel is a cancer medication that works by impeding the growth and spread of cancer cells. It is also used in combination with another medicine (namely Prednisone) to treat prostate cancer. It is also worth noting that “Cabazitaxel can weaken (suppress) your immune system, and you may get an infection or bleed more easily.”(drugs.com) As for the side effects, they include numbness in the hands and feet, blood in the urine, diarrhea, severe vomiting, and shortness of breath. Unfortunately, you will have to postpone you pregnancy plans during your treatment. Therefore, using birth control pills is highly recommended.
