Description

White Yautia root originated in South America and then spread to the Caribbean and Antilles as it favors lowland tropical areas. It has an elongated, tapered shape with one large bulbous end. Besides, its tough brown to orange skin has a rough and uneven texture covered with many bumps and hair. nutrition-wise, White Yautia root contains copper, vitamin B6, potassium, iron, and some traces of vitamin A and C. In addition, starch in yautia compose of slow digesting complex carbohydrates; and together with moderate amounts of dietary fiber, it helps in gradual rise and better regulation of blood sugar levels.
