Rambutan

Native to the Indonesian region and also to other regions of tropical Southeast Asia, the rambutan fruit is oval-shaped, and is also covered in stiff, hair-like bristles. Besides, its flesh is juicy, milky- white, not to mention that it is also sweet and very aromatic. As a matter of fact, this amazing fruit has a high quantity of Vitamin C, which in turn helps avoid cell damage and enables the assimilation of iron in the body. One research also discovered that the rambutan fruit contains effective antioxidants known as flavonoids, which are thought to decrease cholesterol levels, and believed to have anti-cancer properties.
